Transponder Location
Transponders are to be placed 24 inches back from the center of the front axel on the left side


1. MODEL CARS
1960 to current year passenger cars. No type of truck, station wagon, front wheel drive or 4 wheel drive. No convertibles, T-tops or open sunroofs.

2. MOTOR
412 CUBIC INCH LIMIT - Motor must be stock appearing. Cast iron or aluminum intake. Any type aluminum pistons. No fuel injections. All cars must use cast iron block and heads.

 No porting or polishing of manifold except ¾ inch port match. No roller cams. No motor set back. No dry sumps

Cars must weigh at least 3,100 pounds with driver and the following specifications apply: non-crate racing transmissions, or non-crate OEM transmission without working OEM torque converter, must be cast iron block, any cast iron head, cubic inch no greater than 412, after market lower A-arms, after market trailing arms, pan hard bars. No motor set back. No dry sumps

*Anybody running bigger than a 412 must run a 2-barrel and weigh 3250

3. BODY
Body must be stock appearing. No Late Model Noses or Late Model Appearing Cars. Body and deck must have a flowing line from front to rear. If deck height is over 40 inches, the maximum deck height and panel height increase from center of front wheel to rear of car will be 4 inches maximum. 48 inch maximum rear quarter panel length measured from center of real wheel to rear bumper. Rear of car must be closed in 10 inches down from trunk. Holes permitted in nose and rear panel. Aluminum body panels permitted. 80 inch maximum body width at all points. All fenders, doors, and quarter panels should roll inward ½ inch to 1 inch at the top with sides over the upper body.

4. ROOF
Minimum 44 inches long by 48 inches wide. Maximum 60 inches long by 60 inches wide. 45 inches minimum height from ground. Flat roofs may have 2 inch maximum height variance from front to rear. 12 inch minimum door window opening height measured from deck to roof. 1 ½ inches maximum roll down permitted along front and rear edge of roof.

5. NOSE PIECE AND BUMPER CAP
Molded stock appearing nose piece made of flexible material. 52 inches of maximum nose piece extension including front bumper measured from center of front wheel with wheels turned straight. 80 inch maximum nose piece width.

4 inches minimum ground clearance. Hood should be secured by four hood pins. Rear of car must be enclosed 10 inches down from top deck. Rear panel must extend from quarter panel to quarter panel.

No Late Model type nose pieces or rear ends allowed-No Exceptions

6. SPOILERS
Spoilers can NOT exceed 6 inches in height.

7. TIRES
ALL CARS —American Racer 44, Hoosier 1300 or harder compound tires permitted. Nothing softer. All tires must meet a minimum durometer of 32 at any time.

8. WHEELS
12 inch maximum wheel width. Steel wheels only. Bead locks OK. Wheels must be held on by bolt type lug nuts. Wide five adapter plates OK.

9. CARBURETOR
One 2 or 4 barrel carburetor. 750 cfm limit.

Choke towers can be removed. All 2-barrel carbs must be 500 cfm (4412)

10. FUEL
Racing gasoline only. No alcohol. No electric fuel pumps. Mechanical fuel pumps only. Fuel line should not pass through driver’s compartment.

11. DISTRIBUTOR
No magnetos permitted on any car. OEM stock distributor or MSD systems allowed. HEI allowed.


12. FRAME
No round tubing snouts or frames. 104” minimum wheel base. Unibody frames using rear subframe should have full snout and rear subframe steel rectangular tubing connector rails. Unibody connector rails should be connected to the back of the front snout and the front of the rear subframe. Unibody frame may be shortened in the tub area. All frame tubing should be constructed of minimum 2” wide x 3” high rectangular steel tubing, with .120” minimum material thickness in front of rear axle when permitted and .095” minimum material thickness behind rear axle. All other chassis tubing should be 1 ½” to 1 ¾” outside diameter and minimum .083” thickness. Rear bumper should be at least 4” behind fuel cell. No part of the fuel cell should be below the protective tubing. Any bumper that extends more than 8” from the rear of frame should be rounded and directed toward the front of car. No offset frames on any car.

13. SUSPENSION
No lift bars.No heim joints. No other torque absorbing rear suspension equipment on any weight class. Racing springs, racing shocks, tubular after market upper A-arms and after market trailing arms OK, rubber or neoprene spacers on trailing arms OK. Must meet stock measurements. Weight jacks OK. No coil overs. No driver controlled weight jacking equipment. Composite leaf springs permitted. Standard cars must use stock lower A-arms in stock mounting location or lower A-arms with stock dimensions. Suspension mounting points may be relocated except for lower A-arm. Stock for link. Cars need to have 4 stock link trailing arms, Aftermarket trailing arms ok. No 3-Links Allowed-No Exceptions.  Rear Springs must be in stock location above axle - no offsets.

14. TRANSMISSION, DRIVE SHAFT, AND CLUTCH
All cars – transmission should have explosion proof bell housing. Racing transmissions are acceptable No in and out boxes. Transmissions must have operational clutch and working reverse gear. Drive shaft should be painted white and be surrounded by two 3 inch safety loops. Again, racing transmission allowed. OEM transmission without working torque converter allowed.

15. REAR AXLE
Any type stock production rear end. Floater —OK. Locked rear end—OK. 9” rear end permitted. No quick changes.

16. BRAKES
All cars must have 4 wheel braking system. Rotors must be steel. Disc brakes all wheels OK.

17. EXHAUST
Headers permitted. Exhaust pipes may NOT point towards ground. Exhaust must exit on right side of the car. Mufflers are HIGHLY recommended for all cars.

18. STARTER AND BATTERY
All cars must be self starting. Battery should be located in a safe area and covered with a metal fireproof box. Battery should not be in driver compartment. Battery disconnect kill switch to shut down motor highly recommended, mounted in reach of driver and should be clearly labeled for safety crew.

19. FUEL CELL
Racing-approved fuel cell should have 32 gallon maximum capacity and be securely mounted inside a 20 gauge steel box and secured to frame with a minimum of two 2” x 1/8” thick steel straps around entire fuel cell. Minimum 7/16” bolts should be used to mount the fuel cell. The fuel pick up should be on the top or right side of the fuel cell, be constructed of steel and should have a check valve in case of roll over. Fuel cell should be mounted in square tubing frame. Fuel cell must be mounted behind the rear axle and between the rear tires, at least 4” in front of the rear bumper. 9” minimum fuel cell ground clearance. No part of the fuel cell may be lower than the rear end housing. Car number must be displayed on fuel cell, 6” minimum height .

20. INTERIORS AND FIREWALLS
A full metal firewall constructed from 18 gauge steel or 1/8” thick aluminum should be joined to seal off driver compartment at front, rear, sides and floorboard. Full metal floorboard. Top of interior may be maximum of 4” below top of doors. The start of the dropped interior should remain closed as part of the firewall. The interior must taper up gradually to be even with the rear quarter panel and level for 20” from rear of deck and quarter panel. Interior must be mounted flush with outside body panels. Interior clearance should be 11” to 12” minimum below roll cage at all points for easy exit. Full containment window nets are mandatory. Onboard fire suppression system recommended. Onboard fire extinguisher is mandatory.  Full boxing of interior permitted.  

ATTENTION: Should any weight class become dominant with this division, track officials reserve the right to make weight changes to keep all weight classes competitive.
